Comforting Truth

Scripture John 10 John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. What a wonderful promise! What the Lord promises becomes a fact. Here His promise guarantees those who believe in Him eternal life. The eternal security of the believer is one of the most important truths in Scripture. Many have been the debates over various verses, but all doctrines of salvation demand for eternal security. Where the Bible speaks of works relates to the service of the believer and will be dealt with at the Bema or judgment seat of Christ which is for believers. (1 Cor. 3:11-17).

Many who have taken this wonderful comforting truth of eternal security for granted will suffer loss at the judgment seat but certainly not loss of their salvation. Praise God we can sing with comforting confidence; ”Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! Oh what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, born of His Spirit, washed in His BLOOD.”

MY PRAYER: Lord may this thought be a comfort to the doubting and an encouragement to all to be faithful in light of this wonderful gift of eternal life.
