Vital Ingredient

Scripture Reading - Acts 2:41-47 God made us social beings, to have interaction with others. It is evident from what I read in Genesis 3 that He, Adam and Eve had some regular meeting time. He instituted the family so there could be a social life. We even see this in the animal kingdom.

So too in the spiritual realm, God intends for believers to have interaction with each other, hence the local church. We read in Acts 2:42, "And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers."

Observe the word fellowship is placed in the same circle with doctrine, breaking of bread, and prayers. If there is one reason you should go to church is you need to have fellowship with your spiritual family. Many stay home and listen to a service on TV, but the wonderful ingredient of fellowship is missing. God intends that you eat your spiritual meal with your tangible family. I know for some it is difficult to do so. But for those who are able, you should find yourself a place where the Word of God is preached and where you can join in fellowship with the family of God and do not be as some who forsake the assembling of themselves. You need fellowship more than you think. It is connected to doctrine, breaking of bread and prayers. Don't miss out on this vital ingredient of your life. MY PRAYER. Lord thank you for the fellowship of believers. I pray for those who are unable to have such fellowship. May the abiding presence of yours be theirs today in Jesus name. God bless you.
