Looking unto Jesus

Scripture Reading. Hebrews 12:1-3. One of the easiest things to do is to be distracted. Just think how often you turn to look at something reactively. The fact that we are told to LOOK UNTO JESUS implies that we are prone to take our eyes from Him. Many accidents, or near ones, are due to these reactive glances that causes us to take our eyes off the road or from what we are doing. Spiritually it is the same. We allow varying circumstances to take our eyes off the Lord and without realizing that we are drifting away until we end up in some decision or friendship or activity or attitude that ends all wrong or in some sinful action. Stay focused...keep looking TO HIM... as your helper. Keep looking UNTO HIM... as your example. Keep looking FOR HIM... as your rewarder. MY PRAYER: May you lay aside all that is stopping you from running your race steadfastly and turn your eyes upon Jesus and look full in His wonderful face so that the things of this world will not distract you from Winning your race.
